We left the 'Ham @ 4:00 and arrived in Cancun @ 2 (Terry lost his phone somewhere between that time but that's another story! LOL). We unloaded our suitcases and then BRUNO knocked on the door. He introduced himself, in his uniform and white gloves and blue-tooth on his ear (haha) and said he was our BUTLER for the next 5 days. He showed us all the room amenities--such as the huge whirlpool tub that could easily fit all the grandkids in (at once!) and showed us how to work the light system (lights that shone under marble tables and were operated by the room key.He then opened the curtains and we got our first glimpse of our VIEW. It was staggering. (hahaha, that was the most descriptive word I could come up with up)! We have been blessed to have been on MANY unique/wonderful/beautiful trips over the years, largely in part to carpet company trips, and have been to Hawaii 3 times/Caribbean many times, etc., Europe/Israel/England, etc  but quite honestly this view took even Terry's breath away (and he sees gorgeous Jamaica every couple of months!). The waters in Cancun are the most amazing in the world. The different colors blue just are like balm to the eyes. How can anyone look at that view and not believe in God? There is just something about it that grips your heart and reminds you that there IS a Creator who , I believe, loved creating such beauty for us. That is why people are pulled to the beaches and mountains b/c you can just see and feel and hear the waves and be reminded that you are a part of something so much bigger than you could ever imagine. I wanted to stand on our balcony forever and just drink it in! The waters were turquoise and light blue and dark blue and every blue on God's palette all merged into one big body of water, gently lapping ashore on white beaches.!
After pulling myself from the view, we realized , we were HUNGRY! we walked around and found ourselves in this area with a pool and a outdoor brick oven with chefs (in chef hats) making pizzas. Oh my goodness. We had the most delicious pizza EVER! It was delicious and we started off with Margaritas and pizza looking out over that view! WOW!!!!!!!  *BTW, I only took my new, small Canon Camera (and Flip Video camera) to Cancun. I am so pleased with the picture results that I may only use the BIG DADDY  for those pix of the grands. LOVE this new camera! Love the colors and clarity and sharpness!
We headed back to our room (#605 for those who love details , yes, the 6th floor is the PERFECT place to be!) and headed to the pool. We stayed there awhile and then went back up , changed and headed to dinner. We were sooo tired from being up at 3:00 A.M. that we went straight to bed, with the sliding glass door open and the wind blowing , gently the curtains by our bed. Paradise.

Tomorrow>>>DAY2 in Paradise!
