NEW KITCHEN!

After almost 16 years living in our home in Lake Cyrus, we have decided to update (it's about time!)!. My kitchen needed the facelift first so that's where we started!!! We are doing a lot of changes. Painting the cabinets/ changing the counter tops/ painting the walls and ceiling and new floors (all over--not just kitchen. ONLY b/c I live with a "floor man" , FYI. haha).
First phase was a DIY! We decided to paint the cabinets ourselves b/c we both enjoy painting and because we probably saved a boatload of money! $$$$$$ ...I love white cabinets. So, it was a no brainer that our natural wood cabinets turn into nice/new/clean/sparkling white ones ! After doing the first one/hanging it back, we were amazed at the change! ....Finally, after over 2 weeks of painting, we are finished! I say "we" loosely, as Terry did 80 % of the work! I did mostly the inside/sides of cabinets. It was tedious and tiring. Sanding/cleaning/priming/painting. But so worth it in the end. ...My daddy was a perfectionist and when he did a project it was going to be perfect. I felt like Terry was channeling Daddy the past 2 weeks! HAHA! He was definitely in the "Lewis Powell zone" of: "if we don't do it right, don't do it". (because I'm a slacker and would try to skim on things! HA).....anyway, Phase ONE is complete. So proud of how they look! Just like I envisioned them looking. Check out the photos! Remember, those hideous counter tops are almost history and know they are not staying! ha!...

Terry just left , about an hour ago, to go to Jamaica. They are getting ready for the teams this Spring and Summer. Here's what our prayer e-mail list sent out about his trip and it's easier for me to use his own words than me try and explain it.:

* Finally this is about Terry’s Fry’s mission trip to Jamaica tomorrow which will last for a week:

"Depart B'ham at 5:30 am Thursday and arrive Kingston JA @ 11:58 am, return home next Wednesday late night.
Will spend part of the week at the special needs school where we have a feeding program. The Jamaican Dollar has gone from $105 Jamaican Dollars to $120.00 Jamaican Dollars to $1.00 Dollar US. This is quite a leap and we need to make sure we are seeing the results of healthier children from the food they are receiving on the program. Money is costing more and food is certainly costing more and we need to verify what we are doing is helping for what we are spending every month.
There is a need for another basic school in Port Morant and we have been asked to look at building it. We have teams scheduled for the summer and need to make the necessary plans for materials and logistics if we think the need is great enough for us to build.

We are helping some farmers and they are experiencing difficulty with insects eating there crops. Will be consulting with the government trying to get some help on proper insecticides to rid the insects.
There are a number of churches that want to do vacation bible school again this year and we need to make sure they can handle the number of kids and parents that always show up in greater numbers than we expect.
Will be out in various towns at night showing religious movies and preaching the word of God to a cross section of the Jamaican society. Always very interesting!
And whatever else our great Lord puts in front of us......we just never know".

Please add your prayers to those*

Here's a few pix from "A Fry(Horne/Cullen) Family Christmas". We have fun. We're not perfect. We are different. We like different things. Some like to read. Some like to study. Some like to play.  Some like wine. Others beer. A few love Dr. Pepper. Some like Milos. Some like PF Changs. Some run. Some work out. Some are nurses. Others salesmen. Some professionals. Some research. Some make websites . Some are students. All are generous. All are compassionate. All are tender hearted. All have deep faith. All attend church. All love God. All love family....... We aren't a "clan".  We are different. We are the same. We can argue with each other. We can agree to disagree. We can get mad. And get glad. We tease. We cry. We hug. We argue. We sing. We laugh. We share. We support each other. We. are. Family.  And most of all:  we love . LOTS.
