Spring Break

Natalie, Kemp, Daisy and I had a special week! We went to Orange Beach, Ala. and stayed with my friend, Alice, in her new house there. Alice bought a house in O.B. a few months ago and has been "fixing it up" aka decorating it, etc. and we just had to go see it! We fell in love with her pretty little house! Just a "golf cart ride" to the bay--and a few miles to the beach.  The kids loved the golf cart rides! In her neighborhood is a little "cove"---I named it "Alice's Cove" lol, b/c it was a  little sandy beach that the bay lapped up to. Also, a little ride down further, was "Bear Claw Marina" and we also went there for the kids to fish. Of course, one day we went to the beach/beach---Orange Beach. The water was FREEZING, but no matter, the kids stayed in the whole time (as did a bunch of, I assume, Yankees, as adult Southerners know better. haha)....And, the game Daisy couldn't wait to play: "PIE FACE"! First stop was to get whipped cream so we could play it! You put your face in a circle/ turn on the timer and try to get past getting "pie in your face". Daisy was beside herself and LOVED getting pie in her face! HAHA...And, as everyone in the South knows, no trip to our "redneck Rivera" is complete without a trip to ALVIN'S ISLAND to purchase the coveted shark necklaces/ mood rings!!....So much fun packed in a few days! here are a few pix from our week.....
