Family Day/FunDay

Tuesday was an ordinary August summer day. However, it was made EXTRAordinary with a fun lunch at my sister's house.In our family, you never know who is going to be where. This day, Becky's Bunch (Becky + her 5 boys!) came/Emily (Rob/Scherry's daughter) and 2 of Beth's girls (Abbey and Tori) were there. Beth dropped by, too, later on. It was a fun time! Judy fixed a great lunch---tried out a new recipe on us guinea pigs and it was oooooooooh so great! A Tomato Tart! Similar to a pizza but with a twist. instead of a Pizza crust, she rolled out and made a PASTRY crust! TO DIE FOR! Also, chicken salad croissants and a great corn/bean dip by Abs! .We didn't start off by planning a party, it was just going to be me dropping by to get the beautiful hand made Nativity sets she got for me in Ecuador, but it ended up being like a belated b'day party for me! (or so I think! LOL!!!).I took our leftover cake from Sunday (our family lunch) and so it really did seem like a party. Since Abbey's b'day is the 8th, guess we could say it was hers too! LOL. ANyway, had a great time! We also were planning Mimi's 97th birthday party on Aug 14!!! (Yes, we have lots of birthdays in our huge family!!!!)! Becky's middle child, Will, has a talent for making paper creations! Not your regular paper stuff, he makes playgrounds and puzzles, etc. He goes online to figure out how to make them!!!! SMART! Anyway, he created a "beating heart" and, while it LOOKED easy to make, IT WASN'T! We all took turns trying to make it which is what we are doing in the pictures! FUN TIMES....On Sunday, our "big kids" (haha) and their children , went with us to eat at Old Overton and then off to swim at the pool.Perfect weather and the pool was only inhabited by US! So, that was awesome!!! We really had a great time! FYI, here are the birthdays for just the Frys the past month:
