The Vatican (Rome, Italy)

What can I say more than has already been written about one of the most amazing places to visit in the world??? 2 words: SIMPLY AMAZING. Here are some pictures of our time at the Vatican and I hope you will enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them.We ordered our tickets early and got a guided tour with about 10 of us in our group. We wore headphones and our guide would tell us things about the museum , the  Pope's gardens, the Sistine Chapel, etc.-- also many other interesting facts that we would  never have known otherwise: ie., Vatican City is the smallest independent state in the world/Has it's own flag/guards/currency!.... Our guide was baptized in the Vatican as an infant and knows the (Huge) place inside out! I believe if you went every day the rest of your life, you would still NEVER see all that is in there. It's truly that HUGE and so much priceless art and paintings, it would take a lifetime to see it all.( *FYI, If you plan a trip to Rome, and the Vatican, make sure you book a tour guide/group. It is WELL worth the money--we booked online from Vatican tours).... As I said, our guide got us right in, otherwise we would've been standing in the line that wrapped around Vatican City for about a mile! Group after group were lined up inside (those who had the foresight to get tours like us), chatting in every language. (Hence the headphones). Had we not had the headphones we wouldn't have been able to hear with all the many, MANY groups of people in there. We stayed with her (Franchesca), the whole time--she was great--inside one of the museums/the Sistine Chapel and of course, St.Peter's Basilica....It was an amazing day and one I know that the 4 of us will never forget!... I am going to make some of the pictures large size so that you can  get a tiny glimpse of how HUGE this (holy) place really is!!!!!
