So you think you can dance?

Recital Day 2012! What a fun day for Lily and those who love her! It was HER DAY to shine and shine she did! That little girl is a real HOOFER! On May 26th,  my knee was well enough to ride down to the BJCC with Michael and meet up with Kadie/Lily/Alan/Leigh and MeMaw! We loved watching our little show stopper! She was in 5 numbers! YES, 5 ! She is part of the Level I/II Company-- she had to try out to get in the group and she did great.You can tell when the other classes of 7 year olds danced how much more intense and harder the "Company" group was that Lily is in.(she practices several times a week)! Ugh, sounds like a bragging grandmother--one of my pet peeves, haha, but she deserves the bragging on her dancing--it was amaZing. Anyway, she did Hip HOp/Jazz/Tap and ballet. Her favorite is Jazz and Hip Hop! She did GREAT! So glad I was able to HOP there myself, thanks to Michael for dropping me off right in front! (*FYI, doing GREAT now! Can walk again! WHOOT!). Anyway, loved watching our sweet girl in the  Birmingham Dance "Celebrating 50 years of Dance"! Brings back memories of when Nat/Katie took dancing and even myself! I took dancing in the very first "BABY CLASS" at Bobbie Ackerman. Went on to dance until I was around 10 years old and truly loved it.  Too bad I can't remember much more than, "Shuffle, ball change!" HAHA ...Check out our little dancing queen!
