Labor Day (a day early)!

We celebrated LABOR DAY yesterday vs. today (Labor Day! LOL)!. Glad we did as today there are torrential rains and ,e ven if it wasn't sunny, we were able to get some pix baby Ryder outside with his grandparents. Katie and Jon bought a Boston Butt that was cooked by a member of Jon's father-in-law's congregation. It was DELISH and we didn't have to worry about the rain putting the fire out either! We had Kelley's parents, Lea Ann and Dan and her brother, Daniel (home for the holiday from Fla. State) and her sister, Katie---along with Jon/Katie/Carter and Nat/Brad/kids dropped by to see the wee lil' bear, too. It was a perfect day to be able to sit on the back porch! It has been SOOOO hot all summer and usually we can't enjoy the porch except at night. yesterday, the cloudiness and intermittent rains keep it nice and ALMOST cool! ...The babies were the center of attention, of course,  on Labor Day BUT there was ONE "PERSON" who stole the show!!!! CHANGO!!!!!! WHO IS CHANGO???? Well, he is a gorilla that goes home for the week-end with students in Mrs. Hulsey's class (Kemp's first grade class). Kemp was lucky to get Chango for a LONG week-end!!!! Daisy thinks Chango is HERS and I'm quite afraid the tears may flow when Chango has to go back to school tomorrow with Kemp!!!!!!! Kemp had to make pictures and tell stories of what all Chango did while he was with their family! Check him out. I think he had a good time with the Hornes! (the first set of pix are from Friday when Kemp got home with Chango and ending with pix from yesterday). Yes, Chango came here yesterday, we wouldn't have let him miss bar-b-q now would we?!...
