HAPPY NEW YEAR , FRIENDS!
WHO AM I? Just a pilgrim on a journey. (But I have a Companion!) . Heading on the Road to Emmaus. This is about my faith walk. I'm a: Sweet, Steely Southern Belle (well, for the most part!). I love my Family (husband, 5 grown kids/their spouses) and all my (10) grand kidlets and my church:Church at Ross Bridge. (ONE) of my fav Bible verses: Luke 24: 13-35, describes my journey..... And my eyes were opened with "the breaking of the bread". And it happens, Every. Single. Time.

Project 365...a little over the top!
Dec.31 is the perfect time to encapsulate the FRYS/CULLENS/HORNES during the past year. Here is the project I've written about several times---wow--now you see why I said it was, indeed, a PROJECT! After starting it I often thought, "WHAT DID I GET MYSELF INTO?" many times! HAHA! Besides doing Disney scrapbooks to sell on my Etsy shop, I now had gazillions ( ok, millions haha) of pix of my own children mixed in with papers/stickers/glue/adhesives all on the floor together! What a mess it was at times! Not to mention making the PICTURES at every opportunity and making sure each of my kids had enough pictures for their own album! Some of the pages were the same, while some were entirely different! Just like my own kids---alike in many ways and so very different in others! ....Truly it was a honor and privilege to give my children something that they can keep and pass on rather than shirts to take back to a store!!!! :) It was so fulfilling and so if you really want to feel satisfied and happy after creating a gift, I encourage you to start a project tomorrow for your own family next year. For me, personally, it was a great way to commemorate this past year we shared in our family but, then, each year is stellar in it's own way! So, whether you make a scrapbook or card or box or anything you do best with your own talents, DO IT!!! Your children will love it and YOU will be blessed , too, more than you can ever realize. I am so glad I stuck with it---even when I would fuss and complain to myself at times and even if my scrapbook room looked like a tornado hit it, in the end, after I pasted in my very last picture and wrote my very last line to my child, I felt as if I had done something truly special. Using the gifts God me, as meager as I feel they are, I , with the help of God, created that gift to show my own children how special they are to me. Soooo, get to thinking about what YOU can make for your children/grandchildren or parents next year. believe me, the year will go FAST and this time next year, I want to hear about what YOU made!
